Buying and using an electric toothbrush has been the best thing for my teeth. I got an Oral-B for around $50 and replace the heads for $24/year.
I'm really impressed in how much smoother and cleaner my teeth feel compared to a regular toothbrush. It even works on my tongue, although makes it bleed at times. I charge it overnight probably bi-weekly and owned it for over three years. I recall having 3 cavities a year before using it, now it's 0-1 cavities per year. The brush includes a tiny head for the nooks and gum line which requires extra time to slowly clean those areas which can be annoying.
My only concern is, should I take it with me during travels...
I opt-out considering the possibility of it getting tainted in a hostel when it's left out to charge and the extra luggage room needed for the charger.
So far I've only carried a regular during travels and disposed of it after.
Thoughts?
