I feel Eastern Poland and Western Ukraine/FSU are halfway between poznan, wroclaw, krakow and industrial shithole in terms of culture.

That is to say, half Polish and half Ukrainian/FSU. I feel both Bang Poland and Bang Ukraine would partially apply to these border areas.

Completely different ball game in my opinion. I have not read the book but for starters Polish girls are much cooler and have better taste. They also mostly speak English and you can banter with them. Ukraine I dont think thats even possible?

Highly doubt it. Finding girls that speak English will be your biggest issue in those parts of the FSU.

I agree. I thought western Ukraine/FSU might be similar to Poland because its so close to Poland...

only superficially. They import a lot of Polish clothes here but the culture is different. A 3.5 hour date here today reminded me of some of the differences.

Polish girls are very talkative and they facilitate you.Ukrainian not so.Polish girls tend to give everyone a chance no matter how he looks.Again this is not the case with Ukrainian girls.In Ukraine I use Balkan style of talking that is I tell them only 50%or less and I let them fill the rest with imagination.Ukrainians do the same.Polish women tell everything that is why they may seem gullible.
