I am going to Odesa, Ukraine, in one month. English is not widely spoken, I know that already. From reading many posts here, it seems a good Russian language app on the iPhone has made the difference between getting the bang and not getting the bang. Which app do you recommend that does NOT rely on any type of Internet / 3G connection? Why do you recommend it? In regard to girls that don’t speak English in the Ukraine and other FSU areas, what has been their reaction when you rely on this app? I’d think it could be awkward busting it out, especially in a noisy bar or club. Thanks much!
