First time clubbing could use some advice

I hate to admit it cause it seems to make me into a pussy but I'm 23 and haven't been clubbing in my life. Back before I discovered game I was in a LTR with a girl who wouldn't let me drink but now that's over. I'm going out winging with a natural at a club this weekend(I'm day gaming solo before we go out and if he flakes I'm still going out to the club).

So I could use some advice on what to do and act like. I already know to smile and have high energy when you enter, I know it might be a good idea to tip the bartender to keep him off your ass and be nice to the staff. But other than that I don't have a fucking clue my only concept of a club comes from the movies.

I went to a club last night and 3 girls met me there, basically we chilled at the bar and I gamed the one that invited me. Had a friend come and he entertained the 2 others HB8.5's while I took the 9 back to her place. It was a good night

I would chill at a popular spot at the bar with lots of traffic. Don't look too corny and always smile just be yourself and talk to girls. Girls will come up to buy drinks, give it 5 mins and you'll find one that wants to dance so always flirt with them. Other girls will see and you will start to notice more women looking at you which is a bog plus. Don't worry about it as a first time, its a new arena and it may take a couple trys to get used to. Maybe invite more people to go with you so you have a crew and some women already lined up

I was 24 before I went to my first club. Same situation. Ltr w/girl and stayed home a lot. It's really awkward at first, especially if you don't dance. I felt really out of place. For me I had to go to the same club a few times before I felt comfortable there, and once I felt comfortable in the one club, I started branching out to new places.

Depending on your personality, it can take some time to get used to. Don't be discouraged if you are not pulling pussy the first night. Just keep coming back and it gets easier and easier, especially the more friends you make going out.

If it's you're first time, just make casual conversation with guys first to get used to talking to strangers in a loud environment. Once you "get in the groove" after 30 minutes or so, you'll feel a lot more comfortable talking to the opposite sex.

Depending where you live and how tight the scene is, chances are no one will remember your face the next weekend, so don't be afraid to step outside your boundaries even if you feel goofy and not "like yourself" for doing so.

Bartenders aren't going to recognize you as a regular in a large club. It's generally pointless to overtip unless you are seriously planning to be there twice or more a week, every week.

I usually won't tip a bartender if I'm solo unless they recognize me and we're acquaintances.

Otherwise it's pointless, all they do is take a bottle of beer out of a cooler and take the top off - all of 5 seconds of work, and that's usually waiting at the bar for 2-4 minutes if it's busy. Sorry brah, I don't see why that deserves a gratuity over and above their hourly wage. Don't be rude about it, just take all your cash back [Image: biggrin.gif]

I'm curious where you're clubbing. It's different in different cities.

For clubbing, focus on (in no particular order):

Approaching
Your appearance
Your dancing. Practice dancing at your pad Napoleon Dynamite style.

Any issue you might have in nightclubs probably stems from one of these three. Rock a vneck, some designer jeans and shoes. You gotta own the look. Observe who the hottest girls in the club are, and look at the guys they're with. Learn what you can from this. In L.A., lots of hotties are with Persian muscle head douchebags. Am I going to start roiding out and rocking Affliction print shirts with a pair of Gucci shades on? No, but you can take elements of that level of peacocking and adapt to it and make it your own.

There are threads on the board about dance approaches. Read carefully.

Fuck bartenders. They treat clubbers like shit. Bartenders in a bar are a different story.

Try to network any way you can. The more people you know that work in the club, the better, and once you really start hitting the club scene a lot, you start recognizing other club rats, DJs, drug hookups, etc. You want to get to the point where you get invited to the VIP section with free bottle service waiting for you. It takes time.

Have a drink or two before going into the club. I have a tiny flask for this purpose. Hit up a bar or some venue where you can be social an hour or two before clubbing to get you in the most outgoing and positive mood possible. Even better, do some approaches and get some numbers before going into the club.

Do you know how to dance?

Clubbing in the USA is just about dead but basic club skills you learn there do go far in foreign countries. If he's 23, he should spend a year or two learning it part-time.

Roosh I'm curious what you mean by this. I know clubbing sucks in L.A. since last call is at 1:45 and girls don't go out until midnight, but I wouldn't exactly call it "dead". It's still by far the most target-rich concentration of hot girls you're likely to find.
