Quite interesting! Here's a list of foods that increase dopamine levels: http://www.livestrong.com/article/68212-...ne-levels/

As far as I remember it's also said that green tea has a positive influence on dopamine levels!

Excellent video. Am I the only who related everything to game and power during the whole video? [Image: lol.gif]

Dopamine Game

If foods amped up dopamine levels high enough to change behaviors people would be eating bananas instead of snorting coke. My only point is that so many things are labeled as activating the "reward" system these days that talking about it in the general sense, the way it is portrayed in mainstream media outlets, amounts to a truism. All it really is is the brain's innate system for picking out which things in the environment help with survival, and that by definition is a broad list of things. It also has it's own built in regulatory system, so merely increasing levels of dopamine doesn't gurantee that brain cells will actually release it. It could be argued that game amounts to a behavioral system for presenting an optimal mate to the female reward system. These types of things generally give a very simplistic view of the role of dopamine in the brain and therefore aren't much practical use in everyday life.

There are a few supplements one can take to increase dopamine, GABA, and the "feel good" brain chemicals. Then of course there are prescription meds that do the same even more effectively.

The difference b/w dopamine release from a pill vs naturally occurring through relationships/high risk activities (skydiving, etc) is that dopamine from a pill is a constant release. Excess dopamine from sex or skydiving last only as long as you're having sex or plummeting toward the earth.

But one thing is common among dopamine-in-a-pill: they all have nasty side effects when dopamine levels revert to the mean. Ouch.

Spot on. People generally register surges of dopamine release only in a relative sense. When you take a medicine that affects levels appreciably you get a "rush" which melts into a "high" and then slowly trails off back to baseline. The naturally occurring releases are when the brain detects something novel or rewarding and releases the chemical in bursts. Which supplements are you referring to? I'd say most of the supplements available over the counter may increase levels but not release, and if the molecules sit around too long without being released they'll get degraded by enzymes without having done anything.

Phenibut activates mostly GABA receptors, but also dopa peripherally. I don't know of others with recreational potential though.

that's useless unless you want to urinate more frequently.

Yes, but this vid is essentially about gaming dopamine levels, not eating something that is intrinsically dopamine raising.

You must present the optimal female reward, but to let her have it is to not let her have it, because women feel most alive when they in a state of desire.

So, you have to amp up their dopamine, and if you want repeat bangs, you can't ever give her the full dopamine blast. You have to be like a drug dealer and string her out with your game.

It's the same shit that politicians/media do. You have to make her into an addict.

Serotonin is the main mood determinant not dopamine.Women like food like chocolate which increase the serotonin levels so when they feel unhappy they may eat chocolates.
Dopamine has more to do with activity, alertness, ideas.Cocaine increases dopamine levels and amphetamines act directly as dopamine.Ecstasy has some effects on both dopamine and serotonin system.Cocaine increases also catecholamine levels.

So, are you saying that dopamine is bad because it get girls thinking too much?

And, this guy's theory works with Seratonin as well. If you present the possibility of happiness, instead of giving it to her on silver platter, you can manipulate her more. If she is satiated, she won't be motivated.

Seratonin is active; you can't just give someone Seratonin. It has limits, and is all relative. If you max out someone's Seratonin, they won't necessarily be happy 24/7, they just won't get depressed.

Often, it is easier to game girls when they aren't feeling so good about their lives. Like in the winter, when they don't have the extra summer ego boost that comes from showing leg. Also, post Valentine's is really hard on them, and can be very easy for us.

Not the effects when consuming phenibut supplement at all.

One cannot really say "serotonin does this, dopamine effects this" because they interact on so many different pathways. Cocaine, for example, also modulates serotonin activity in addition to dopamine activity. There is just too much interplay between them to nail down the role and function of one without looking at the others.

The bottom line though is that one cannot say "i'm going to increase this girls dopamine levels" by doing this-and-this. A dopamine build up will come naturally during situations involving excitement and sexual tension, which is essentially what "game" is.

Interesting video.
Kind of rude that the people laughed at the end. Insulting to people with religions.

Not very surprising in these type of public science speeches.

You can't pick and choose when it comes to believing in god vs. Science.

It's like using the science of game, or flying in an airplane, and also arguing that there's no such thing as evolution.

Anyway, why would you want an alpha male god AMOGing you? I wouldn't worship an all powerful intelligent force even if it did exist.

That said, let's not turn this thread into a religious debate, ok?
