Well seeing as no one on here is offering up any information on what guesthouses or hotels you can take girls too there's not much I could have done. I wasn't to know until I got cockblocked I couldn't take girls back to that particular place.

For you're information : i was staying in a guesthouse at lake side with 95 % foreign backpackers as guests. Nearly all of them were not getting laid with the pros around without having to pay. Your argument about 60year old tourists is bullshit because even most guys 10 years younger than me where having trouble getting laid there.

This is the first thing you have to do arriving in ANY new country or guesthouse/hotel : Ask if you can bring a girl back to your room.

For your information and to my defense to your idiotic statement : Out of the 13 girls i fucked in Cambodia ( 9 cambodian, 1 laos, 2 vietnamese and 1 thai ) only half were (ex)pro's and only one used recreational drugs sometimes. One girl even was in the Miss Sihanoukville 2010 contest, i was there with her at the contest and she spend 400 dollars on a holiday with me there while i only spend 150 dollar in that week. I stayed in her apartment too.

The Thai girl had a very good job and owned a luxury apartment where i stayed several days. She had an apartment with aircon,kingsize bed, a mac book and 1 iphone + blackberry and large flatscreen. (this was 2009 when that stuff was still very expensive on Cambodia)

I say it again : i never paid any money to these girls, not did i buy them gifts/present/dresses whatever or took them to fancy restaurants. If they spend the whole day with me i would of course buy them some food and drinks in the guesthouse.

I was trying to help him out since i stayed in PP for 5 weeks. He insulted and looked down on me in post #24 saying this : I'd rather have locals come pick me up on their bikes at my hotel and drive me round to cool places than hang about with whores in Heart of Darkness.

Wow, is that what pissed you off. I knew something had but didn't realise it was that. Actually that was not aimed at you. I was just stating that I didn't really want to go to heart of darkness and deal with pros. The last few weeks in Thailand I had 2 different situations where seemingly normal girls, who I'd made it clear to I wasn't looking for p4p if that was there thing, turn out to be pros. One in the morning after I'd fucked her asked for money, the other asked for it as we were leaving the club. Both had clearly stated they were not pros earlier in the night. From what I've heard about Heart of Darkness I'd just be dealing with whores and liars all night.

I've had a double room both nights. These hotels obviously just don't like guys bringing girls back. There's plenty hotels in BKK that are the same, some even close to the sex tourist areas of BKK that have a STRICT no guest policy or some just a no THAI PERSON policy. Some will even turn away single male travellers because it's suspected that's what they'll be up to.

I'm glad you could bang in your 4 dollar crack den. I still wouldn't stay in one. I offered the guards on both occasions money ($10 which is half the price of the room) as a 'joiner fee' they weren't interested. Doubt it's worth their jobs, $10 one night only to get sacked the next for breaking the hotel rules. Both these places the reception is right at the door so couldn't even sneak a girl out discreetly in the morning. The girls didn't know anywhere else to go as they aren't pros so they probably don't make regular trips to hotels with foreigners. I'm not so desperate for sex I'm going to run all over town looking for a place to have sex. I get laid plenty in Thailand so it's not big deal for me to fuck a Cambodian girl, I've got the flag already.

Yeah and in the bar I was in last night one of the girls had an iphone 4, designer hand bag and just spend $200 on dental work, when I asked how she afforded all this on $80 a month wages she said she gets rich foreigners she meets out here to send her cash. I found a place yesterday that was fine with it and took a girl back last night. Met her on tagged.com and it was clear she was planning on staying with me from the get go, she turned up with a bag with change of clothes, toiletries etc. Told her to meet me in a bar where I'm friendly with the waitress staff and when she came in I was flirting shamelessly with one of them, making innuendos and messing around. This seemed to really piss of the girl I'd just told to come meet me but it worked a treat, as soon as we left the bar and jumped in a tuk tuk to another area she was all over me. We ended up in Street 51 where Heart of Darkness, Pontoon and St Tropez is. St Tropez seems very out of place, all the bars in that area are bar girl places and then St Tropez had fancy cars pulling up to the car park and seemed more HiSo. We just went to one bar, that was open 24hrs, playing pool until quite late. The security guard at my current place actually gave me a wink and shook my hand as I brought the girl back.

I flew with Air Asia, after taxes and all their bullshit charges it was 8,000Baht return but it's usually a bit cheaper. The day I left was more expensive than every other day that week, possibly because it was the day after Songkran.

Yeah I have had Thai girls get attached to me after us going out once or thinking because we had sex we're now boyfriend and girlfriend but I've never had any of them start turning up unannounced stalking me or any girls I've met anywhere apart from an after hours club ask me for money / things.

Why don't you take a bus? it will save you lots of money and you can actually see a lot on the way there.

Well, on second thought that works for most countries but Cambodia is a pretty flat country, there's not much to see on the way there. have you see Angkor Wat yet ? Otherwise make a stop over there.

Takes 8 hours by bus from Bangkok. Its four hours to the border. I paid 217 baht (5 dollar) in 2010 and 4 hours by bus to Siem reap ( 9 or 10 dollars) and another 8 dollars to PP. thats a big difference from 8000 baht which i like 250 bucks.

Go see Angkor Wat at Siem Reap if you haven't, it's incredible. The bus from Bangkok to PP is not recommended by anyone though, it usually takes about 12hrs+ often over 20hrs and it's scam central. They only charge 300baht for the trip which suckers people in then on route scam the fuck out of everyone, there's fake border guards demanding money to exit Thailand, fake border guards asking for money for Cambodian visas, the bus often 'breaks down' but hasn't really broken down they just want you to spend a night at the guesthouse the bus company owns. There's websites dedicated to this whole debarcle, it's featured in all the guidebooks and travel websites too and I've spoken to several travellers who got suckered in. You''ll read stories of people being scared into staying in particular guesthouses by the owners saying that the Khmer Rouge still operate in the area and it's not safe to leave. It's a joke and the Governments, police and border guards all know about it and don't care, probably all profiting from it.

You can still do this route by yourself like i did twice. Its easy.
Take a bus from Mochit bus station in Bangkok to the border which takes 4 hours and cost about 220 baht (in 2010). They will drop you of at the busstation on the Thai side of the border. Share a tuk tuk with some others to the border and don't let them fool you at the "visa" office they stop on the way the way there. I was taken there and demanded to take me further to the border or the tuk tuk driver won't be paid. When he didn't listen i said scam to every other tourist who had been brought there, the tuktuk driver saw he was missing out on scam money and took me directly to the border.

Buy a 20 dollar visa at the border and make sure you have dollars otherwise you have to pay 1000 baht which is a lot more. Have two pasport pictures ready. Once you cross the border, hawkers will try to get you in a bus to Siem Reap or PP. Find the best one and haggle so you get a good price. There is a bus station across the Cambodian border and they have lots of rides every day. Two bus operators are there.

It a bit of adventure but thats what traveling is about. It will save you lots of money on flights. The roads in Cambodia aren't as bad as they used to.

Just make sure you don't fall for the busscam on Kao san road and you'll be fine.

The tickets were with Air Asia for the middle of June. They were only certain days though, mid week I think. Most of the days were 2,500-3,000 plus taxes and fees.

Í'm done with sitting on buses for whole days for adventure because thats what travelling is apparently about. Did 24hr +journeys in South America enough to drive a man mad. I'd rather spent some cash on a flight, small amount of time wasted, often not that expensive (especially in SE Asia) and just get to where I need to be quickly. For me travelling is the worst part of travelling. Get me to my destination and let me enjoy it!

If Rio can get a ticket for 3,000B thats a good price, snap it up instead of doing full day bus journeys with tons of scams thrown in. Even if you're clued up on how to avoid the scams you stillhave to deal with the bullshit. Flying to cambodia and getting a visa on arrival is so easy these days, they've streamlined it much easier than before.
