Dodging unwanted male attraction.

Hey guys, Its me again. Recently I ran into a bizarre issue which I need some advice on. I'm still very new at this but I'm hoping you guys know the answer. To make it short, I went up to a 3 set, it was an 8, a heavy set 2 and a guy. I approached the set speaking to the guy first in order to get that obstacle out of the way. He immediately started hitting on me though which completely threw me off because I didn't expect that at all. I ended up talking to them for a few more minutes and left because he was being really forward. What would you do in that situation? Keep in mind I made it very clear I didn't swing that way and I wasn't even peacocking.

Don't give them what they expect, and you'll get from them what you never expected.

I usually leave those situations. There are plenty more where they won't be so awkward.

yeah I suppose it probably won't happen very often. Thanks for the advice I'll just dip out the second that happens next time.

Hold eye contact with the girl and keep talking to her while he's talking to you.

I think it depends on how much you liked the girls--if you really wanted them you could have used it to your benefit by handling the guy's attention without getting reactive but at the same time making it clear that you were interested in female company (women generally like it when a guy is "comfortable with his sexuality" [but is heterosexual]).

(Of course if he was just driving to the hoop and the girls weren't giving you any moral support [or seemed to enjoy your discomfort] then you should push the eject button ASAP]).

(In practical terms I think just by focusing on the girls with your body language, eye contact, questions, being polite to him but not returning his energy.)

I have never been in exactly that position (heh), but attention from gay men can actually make you more attractive to women.

For example, I once told a girl I was seeing. "I like so-and-so, but he keeps hitting on me, which is so annoying. I'm just not into men." She said: "Wow, that's so hot when I guy is so secure in his sexuality."

The trick is to turn the attention into a dhv.

that's sweet man, you girls' friend on your side, all it takes is to talk to him a bit and engage the girls in convo and focus on them.

Looks like you got rattled pretty good. [Image: lol.gif] Just keep your cool and laugh it off.
Keep it light and fun and let it be known that you're straight without making a big
deal of it. Think of the gay dude as the queen bitch cockblocker of the group.

If you can keep your cool dealing with him you're golden. Transition and introduce yourself
to the rest of the group. You'll have to talk to them as a group until you can get the 8 alone.
