Phoenix proper kind of sucks -- it's a giant suburban wasteland. The nightlife is Scottsdale is top notch, though. It's a bit far from Phoenix, but you can grab a cheap hotel room there for the night and walk to bars.
Never really been (I try to steer clear of the desert unless its Las Vegas and living in CA at the beach we see enough Zonies out here in summertime).
But one of my friends speaks real highly of the gentlemans clubs there.
I heard the girls are super dumb, easy and materialistic (which is really not that hard to believe).
Also, I am sure you could post up at ASU.

Yeah, these western states are loaded with meth.
I wouldn't let it stop you from the gentlemans clubs though.
I would hit up the phoencian for some high end broads and traveling broads.
Then mondrian for the younger douchebag girls.
Then day Game at ASU.
If all fails then go gentlemans clubs.
That is my Blueprint (for never having been).
Sounds kind of fun actually.

This, although I'd add some hair highlights for the full effect. I was only in Phoenix for 3 days and I think I spotted 10,000 guys that looked like a Hollister-branded Ken doll. G Man is spot on about the materialistic sorority types, but in my opinion that's a good thing. The bars around Tempe are indeed very good.

First time posting, but read the blog and skim the forums. I live in Tempe, AZ and thought I might be able to help you out. I wouldn't really venture into Phoenix, as it doesn't really have a great nightlife scene. Scottsdale has some of the hottest girls if you're into the whole LA/Hollywood look. If you're into the club scene, Scottsdale is where to go. The mondrian is a pretty good place to stay at, since they have a pretty good bar/lounge where a lot of people start there night and it is very close to where most of the clubs are.
Saddle Ranch is pretty good, and usually pretty busy
PCL (Pussycat Lounge) has hot girls, but is very small and gets crowded fast.
Dirty Pretty, American Junkie, and Cream are pretty much the hottest spots right now, but I'd get there early or call to put yourself on the guest list.
The scottsdale scene is a mix of LA and vegas, but I'd say a notch or two down.

I wouldn't really go to strip clubs. There's no need. The girls you find in the clubs/bars are so much hotter. Plus the lapdances here suck and a lot of the girls are into coke/meth hardcore. The girls don't even grind up on you. Plus most of them go out to Scottsdale on their days off. I've met more than a handful of strippers out at clubs like Myst, Axis/ Radius, Dirty Pretty, American Junkie, and they've never ever been the hottest girls at the clubs.
PS. You don't even have to daygame at ASU. I would stick to fashion square mall or oldtown scottsdale. Or Mill Ave. I only say this because parking at ASU sucks donkey balls through a garden hose and is expensive. You can find free parking on Mill Ave and throught scottsdale during the day.

I know they used to have sick pool parties there last Summer, and I know it's one of the more popular hotels, but to tell you the truth, I don't know much about it other than that. There is a high volume of hot girls here, so have a great time. Some guys find it difficult to game here, but for me it's really all I've known since I "grew up" in Scottsdale. The venues here is where I started my pickup career, and when I travel to other parts of the country it translates very well, which has me believing that the game here is on another level overall. Like I said...sorta like LA/Vegas. Not too many bitch-shields, but a lot of subtle shit-tests that I've seen many guys new to the scene fail. They may get the girl, but the girl would flake as opposed to her being in your rolodex. There are a lot of "bros" here, so be forewarned. It's not that hard to start a fight. And the girls here are pretty onto pua stuff so no really obvious canned lines. I switched from canned to natural early on in my "career" and saw my results skyrocket.
PS. If you are drinking, get a cab. I cannot stress this to you enough. Even if you have one drink, there are cops all over who pull you over for nothing, and you will serve jail time if you get a DUI. Look up Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Really, the Scottsdale/Tempe area is great if you want to relax during the winter, since the weather here is great year round. Just today it hit 102 during the day, which is very unusual. But it's dry heat and during the winter gets a little cold at night because of the lack of humidity. 70 degrees is long shirt weather here.
If you're into golfing, there are a lot of great golf courses here, great hiking, decent nightlife, and very hot girls. If blondes are your thing, Tempe/Scottsdale is heaven if your game is tight. North Scottsdale is a bit expensive, so you need money to play there and eat at good restaurants, and drinks can get expensive, but at one point I was going out 7 nights a week and spending like 20 bucks or less a week because I wouldn't drink and call in advance to put my name on the guest list. This lasted for a month, but I would still be going out at least 3 nights a week most of the time 4. If you're smart, you really don't have to spend a lot of money on nightlife. Helped my game by leaps and bounds by not drinking, too.
Bottom line: Fall/winter/spring is the best time to come here and if you're on a budget, it's a great place to relax, rather than going to Vegas or LA or out of the country.

It depends where you are. There are enough hotels close to the nightlife where you can walk. It almost never rains, and the temperature at night ranges from warm during the summer (t-shirt weather) to perfect to chilly (you need a jacket/coat). But it's always comfortable and walking a couple blocks never ruins the night. However, there are cabs and those guys on bikes with the little carriages behind them that charge significantly less. Honestly, if you can find cheap flights and hotels (if you are looking to pull, I'd pick the mondrian or the W) it would be worth a long weekend to stay here...only if you have game.
It seems like I'm talking up the Phoenix area a lot, and I am.
I'm off to take over Phoenix.
