This story is either incredibly funny or incredibly sad...

Got this number from an attractive Middle Eastern girl at the gym (day-game). I was optimistic because we hit it off well, she showed plenty of skin at the gym (therefore, secular muslim = open-mindedness towards my penis), and we hit it off well, playfully hitting me so she could feel my arms.

I waited a couple of days, gave her a ring, and we had a great convo and she opened up and I learnt about her mom, who had been quite ill, and her Dad who seemed like a great guy and unlikely to kill her for tarnishing the family honor.

We agreed to set up a date, but she cancelled 24hrs before and asked to reschedule because she was stressing out over an assignment. I let her off "school is important" I said.

Never heard from her, even after the deadline passed Friday.

Monday I decided OK, send my standard restart text, they respond 75% of the time.

No response. I began thinking, "geeze, she moves on fast!" Hot girls get taken so fast that if they don't respond, it is 90% certain she's already getting fresh dick.

But alas... tonight she responded!

Her: "Sounds like you've been having fun [Image: wink.gif]"

Me: "Hmm... I feel like we're going too fast and need to slow things down. Two day response time is just waaay to quick for me"

Her: "My mom died Sunday so we buried her today... havne't really felt like looking at my phone or stuff like that... that's why I'm answering now"

Me: "I think i'm going to go bash my head against a rock"

You fucked it up on the last text.

What you should have said on that one:

Me: Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my brother last year and it was very difficult. I'll text you next wk. We'll grab a drink/chat.

Needless to say, you'd talk about your "losses" for like two minutes and then move on.

Keep us posted.

Even if she is telling the truth, Tuth is right. You don't want to react like a beta would. Move the conversation back to the logistics of your meetup. There's a high probability she's lying anyway, though less with direct family members.

Why do you have Anastasia Romance related spam in your signature?

I was laughing for about a minute at that last text.
Definitely incredibly funny.

I'm 99% certain she's not lying, given she told me her Mom has had cancer for a year. She knew her Mom was going to die, the question was just when.

I'm not asking for advice (but thanks anyways). She responded to my last with a: :/

She definitely wants to see me again, so we'll just take it slow. It's going to be an interesting experiment. Can you romance a girl whose mother just passed away?

PS: The signature is just a joke... that site is a total scam.

It could be true, in which case just push on (considerately, but push on and don't play the white knight). Or it could be a lame excuse. I've had a girl tell me "can't make it, my mom died" once before, it was hilarious.

What's wrong with Anastasia spam? I recall that even Roosh had it on his site for a time, in those links to the right.

Roosh is probably right.

But to answer the question of gaming a grieving woman... the answer is 'definitely'.

The game just changes from "I am the Man" into "I will help you get through this"... sex is often welcome as one of her very few options to escape the bad feelings a while... If you go that route, you'll probably fizzle out just like some dude who catches a chick on the rebound... they'll use you to get through it, and then ditch you because she associates you with it after they are ready to move on.

Sloots gon' sloot.

I read this last night and decided to try it out. Works like a charm, I had almost a 100% response rate.

In Fact here's a little datasheet on what I did:

[cookie] - LOL

[girl] - What?

[cookie]- that text you just sent me

[girl]- ???

[cookie]- Oh whoops, I thought you were [first name of girl]

[girl]- I am [whatever her name is] [Image: smile.gif]

[cookie]- Yeah [at this point I either made up that I forgot about our date last night or that we had made out]

[girl]- What? You must have me confused

[cookie]- This is [gives girls first name, but incorrect last name]

[girl]- No this is [whatever]

[cookie]- Oh let me guess I know you from [choose something close but not correct]

[girl]- Actually it's...

Probably the greatest text-game opener ever.

If a girl would actually lie about the death of her mother, then she was never worth the time anyway.

Assuming she didn't, I think your response was way off given the circumstances.

Tuth gave some good advice.

Yeah, why would someone lie about their mom dying and attending the funeral?

I'd give her the benefit of the doubt. You could check the obits if you wanted to be sure, I suppose. If you found out it's a lie then ditch her number because that's a messed up lie. If it's the truth then give her some space for a couple weeks if u really want to pursue that.

RLOL damn that would be fucked up but her mom probably did die. I would wait another couple days and text her to see how she is and go get something to eat. You have a great opportunity.. she will open up and feel way more comfortable being around, leads to getting closer, leads to the bang. You're in good shape.. No worries about the text. Live and you learn
