One of my favs is "They Live". A good commentary on conformity, materialism, and control.
Plus, whenever I see the start of the film and the lead character living as a drifter, going from job to job..it makes me think about how its always possible to do something new, start over again.
Even if you fuck everything up, lose your $/house/job...you're still alive and can go out and do something.
