This is the kind of thing I've been bitching about all along, and because this self entitled whore is white I can do so w/o being called a racist. If you are on govt assistance you should be given just enough to survive, and it should suck so you are somewhat motivated to get off your ass and do something. you shouldnt have enough money left over to buy lottery tickets, nor should you have an Iphone, 50" plasma, clothing bought anywhere but salvation army, etc. you dont like it? well you're not supposed to.

Women are all about entitlement. Vanessa Bryant's mom still collects alimony from Vanessa's dad, even though he has another family and his own kid needs that money. She doesn't need it, considering her daughter is married to a multi-millionaire. The law entitles her to it, so she still wants it from him.

I don't think working folks, be they black OR white, appreciate lazy welfare recipients that are able to work. There are more whites on welfare in this country than blacks. There was no need to introduce race into the discussion. Period.

Timoteo I agree. Lazy is lazy. Handouts have to stop period. Make them work for public housing. For example, clean the complex, be a security guard, crossing guard at schools. There re many ways to get people out of the vicious cycle that turns them into being lazy.

IMHO, nobody has a right for anything. You are lucky to be in a system hat has these social programs. Having rights is an utopian thought. People who abuse the system off the backs of hard working taxpayers be it the welfare recipients, or the white collar bankers from wall street etc need to beheld accountable. They are the ones who are dragging society down.

The problem is that once folks get over the shame of using food stamps, it becomes nothing more than free money to them.

Many folks, of all classes, would take free money from the government if they were giving it too us, so long as there is no social stigma. The biggest difference between these welfare recipients and most regular folks is that they have no shame/embarrassment in using food stamps. I would be humiliated if I had to use a food stamp card, and would do whatever it took to get off food stamps as quickly as possible, if only to end the embarrassment/shame. With these folks, my bet is that almost everyone they know is on food stamps, so there is no stigma, and thus no reason to stop.

there's not even the shame of food stamps anymore. they get cards called EBT - i think its electronic benefits cards - thats basically like a prepaid debit card. and you probably dont even have to show it to a cashier if you pick a grocery store where you can do self checkout. taking advantage of the govt has become so common i'm almost embarassed to be paying for things w/my own money and would smile and smirk if i was buying steaks w/someone elses money.

Most states have recipients re-certify periodically. NY is every 3 months for example. This just motivates me to learn the game more; even the 3's are self-absorbed princesses.

She took a lump sum and lost half(?) to taxes. I doubt she's investing, saving, or even renting out her original house. Money can't buy class. She'll be qualifying for EBT legitimately again soon.

Here is the thing though. Everything she did was legal. She did not violate the law, as there is not a law against being a selfish asshole. The problem here is the the government.

As long welfare exists, there will be incentives for people to use it, even if they don't "need" it. Unfortunately, there are few reasons today to be a hard working, respectful, responsible, honest member of society. Especially if you are a man...

I agree with most of what's being said here, but for every dumb-ass abusing the system (there were even stories of lazy-ass, unemployed hipsters using food stamps) there's somebody that genuinely needs the help and uses it as a stepping stone to better themselves.

I know people whose parents were on food stamps when they were growing up and they're now high-rollers who pay mad taxes into the system or who are contributing members to society in other ways. Without that basic help, they never would have gotten that little edge to be something.

You can't let a few dumb-asses discredit a whole concept. Just think of game. Bitches ridicule game on the basis of sloppy wannabe players who use the neg as their only device. For every Roosh, there's an Internet opportunist putting on $9,000 "bootcamps" and spamming it on every forum they can find. I dated a chick that was getting food stamps and spending them on fancy snack foods at Trader Joe's to support her screwy vegan diet. I don't agree with the contention that food stamps should only be spent on bleached flour and nothing else, but coconut water seemed a little excessive.
