A G's Guide To Bucharest

First off, a big welcome to all of those on the forum already. This forum truly is is a reservoir of information for traveling and hitting on women. I've been a long time reader, and will do my best to make some meaningful contributions to this forum.

Over the summer I spent 5 unexpected nights in Bucharest, Romania and frankly went off the rocker in this country. So much so, that I ended up in the hospital for a night with some mystery virus upon my return stateside.

This summer I had been spending some time fritizing around the French Alps before diving in head first into Croatia(data sheet to come), hitchhiking through Bosnia, and into Belgrade, Serbia(one night there, a wild night at that), upon which one of my good buddies, and primetime baller contacted me to say that his business trip was cancelled and he'd be ready to show me around Bucharest. I couldn't resist the temptation of Romanian women and a fresh country to immerse myself in.

The Women

Hot. Hot. Hot. Stunning headturners. Everywhere. Rolling from OTP into central Bucharest in a top down 338i gave me ample time to scope the 'diversity' of Bucharest. Tall and thin, and largely blonde with that slightly burnt bronze look that fine blonde haired women tend to acquire in the summer months is the best way to characterize the native Romanian population.

What makes the Slavo-Romany people so beautiful is that they are flanked on the streets by Russian-looking, oftentimes Moldovan women.

The Living

Like I said, this was living in Romania as a G. My friend is in 'construction', living in a high end apartment complex. Such was the setup I lived in the penthouse suite of the high rise apartment complex his company had designed. While he was a bit tired from work(I arrived on a Monday) I decided to explore dolo. I observed, made some passes but was ultimately unsuccessful, but the things that stood out to me was first the abject poverty of the Romany(Gypsy) living in Romania and the relative third world nature of the country(open construction sites in the middle of the city). I'll admit I was skeptical of the place, especially when I arrived back to my suite that night to find the electricity not working. As a side note, the electricity never came back on, and repeated inquires to my friend resulted in being laughed at with the, "HAHAHAHAH It's Romania," line.

The Game

I had three solid nights of game in Romania(Thurs, Fri, Sat) during the summer. While my friend insisted Bucharest is disappointing during this time of year b/c students are at home and most people are on the Black Sea at Constantia, my head was left on a swivel.

Ripping through a theme night at Gaia on a Thursday called for some bottle action and the easiest kiss of my life. In VIP, I pointed at a particularly cute Romanian goddess, instructed her to come upstairs to me, poured a drink for her, and delightedly found out that she spoke no English. We proceeded within 30 seconds to communicate with via the most common tongue of language in the world. A very solid Thursday night when considering all topics of interest that night.

Friday and Saturday called for rather dapper nights at Le Gaga, which is an open-airrish club. Tearing across VIP, we hung with our ample selection of beautiful women who came to our table.

An Addendum: The Women & Culture

The women are uncompromisingly beautiful and easy to pick up. However, it's essential to note that Romania is by American standards a poor country. With the average salary at 400 Euros, women see men who can go out into VIP sections of a club and spend 100-150 USD on a night out as being exorbitantly rich.

With that said, one thing I noticed in Romania was this 'hyper urgency' to become Westernized. This means that designer labels, and social networking seemed more important than the game you could spit out. It is so extreme that the way my friend(who is not Romanian) created a harem for himself was to use Facebook. All of these clubs love taking pictures of their patrons and posting them on Facebook. My friend would simply message the attractive girls he saw also tagged in the club's photo album and invite them to his table the next weekend. The women looking for a free drink and free meal out of it, willingly did what was necessary for the reward.

Overall

Romania is a country full of beautiful women. Difficult to approach at night because of their obsession with couture, they are a population easily penetrated with the slightest semblance of wealth and confidence. One might need more than a few nights, or an inside connection to access the 8-9's in the way he plans on.

Any bangs?

It's true many of the locals only earn EUR 400/mo. but ask yourself this: how do these glamor girls maintain their lifestyle of wearing designer clothes, going to the hair salon regularly (the blondes you saw in Romania are NOT natural), partying all night in VIP clubs, etc?
The answer is there are a lot of rich local dudes, people who run everything from supplying legit goods and services, to more shady stuff like public garbage collection, to outright criminal activities like drug dealing or supplying duty-free cigarettes on the black market. These guys buy the fancy condos built by your friend, ride the SUVs you see parked in front of the clubs, and bang those glamor girls. And they pay for them to look their best. Accordingly, these girls are looking for someone who will do a bit more for them than just pour them a free drink.
It will be very hard, almost impossible, for an average backpacker staying in a hostel to bang girls like these. You need to ball. Same story all over Eastern Europe.
