Alright fellas. What are some things straight men should avoid so women don't peg them for gay?

You're trying to resolve the problem which does not exist. There is pretty much nothing a straight man can do that a chick which has been watching you for some time would truly confuse you with being gay. Guys could (we men are doing much worse in observing social cues comparing to women), but a chick won't.

If she pegs you for gay it either is a shit test to see your reaction, or it just means the "why aren't you hitting at me like every other dude? Either I'm ugly or you're gay, but I know I'm beautiful - after all, that's what the second B means in 'BBW', so you must be gay, right?" justification. In both cases your appearance doesn't matter.

I would say, as long as you don't have a cock in your mouth, things should be kosher.

I'd stretch it, and add that you should generally avoid having a cock in your ass as well.

I'd say that would make you come off as gay or even worse...

Ha! That reminds me of an article I read a while back that blew my mind - The Kingdom in the Closet. It's basically about how Riyadh makes San Francisco look like an episode of Leave it to Beaver. Apparently since guys over there can't get any alone time with girls until they are married, they are corn-holling each other like it's going out of style. Just like our prisons. It has been going on for so long (they even have Imam's who wrote poetry about it) it's not really considered abnormal. Apparently fucking a dude in the ass in Saudi Arabia doesn't make you gay - but taking in the ass does.

You don't want to be a beta. Lol.

If you live in a city like Miami, Atlanta, etc. and you have a fly fashion sense, women will assume you are gay just based off that.

Dudes may even inquire as well, but from my experience, dudes tend to be a lot more careful about letting the gaydar go off on just any dude especially when you are physically threatening, i.e. tall, built, etc.

Never take it the wrong way, sometimes women know you're not gay, but they use it just to see if they can get a rise out of you, and don't feel compelled to prove your masculinity.

First of all, stop the hate on turtlenecks!

I have some really nice ones that i wear a lot in winter.

I have never been accused of being gay while wearing one, but it is remarkable how often people assume I am European

Couple of months ago I was at a club wearing a turtleneck and a denim jacket when i was approached by a group of Russian guys who asked me "Russki?" lol

I have an interest in men's style (as opposed to men's "fashion" which is gayish) but I never discuss it with women

Although I have a lot of high end clothing and take care to put together good looks, if a woman compliments me all I say is "Thank you" and change the subject.

I don't want to come across as too fashion conscious i.e. gay or as trying to hard. For the same reasons, as others pointed out, I avoid being too neat and perfect in my look

I'm a strong believer in the concept of "Sprezzatura" the art of studied nonchalance, a topic which probably deserves its own thread here since it fits perfectly into the player's mindset we try to cultivate.

Women definitely do look for small clues that they think, perhaps incorrectly, indicate that a guy is gay, such as drinking girly drinks, knowing about celebrity gossip, caring too much about their appearance, not being interested in sports

I agree that social context is a huge factor, in some circles you could talk with women about art, architecture, literature with no problem while in others you would be branded as gay

I had one girl crack a joke about not getting my panties all twisted up. I came back with "I only like to wear YOUR panties". I'll play into it and agree and amplify if it's just me and her hanging out. I just don't like when they pull that shit in front of a big group. In that scenario I'd probably pull Mixx's move and go for the kiss.

The only time girls have ever asked me this is when I've been in that kind of environment, i.e. a gay bar.

But then I find most girls can pick up pretty much if you're gay or not by your body language and a few other cues.

Comebacks I've used for 'Are you gay?'

: What do you think? - with a smile on your face let her look you up and down..

: Let's find out...then you can kiss her providing there's existing attraction.

I did the 'let's find out' on two friends on a dancefloor once. I kissed them both one after the other, I was secretly hoping I had created a threesome, but all I created was jealousy and got neither of them that night.. [Image: lol.gif]

You know my friend was into body piercing way before it was popular. The first thing he pierced was his belly button. He gets so pissed when I bring it up. [Image: lol.gif]

Ya, there's no real reason to have a tongue ring.

People with tongue rings either really like sucking dick and/or eating pussy.

Evidently my voice is gay according to Tuth. This is something I guess I'll work on.

Something about her in that video is just totally unattractive, I get a weird feeling watching it. There's something really masculine about her - maybe it's those thick bodybuilder abs. Or her manly flat hips. She has no hourglass. She does look good in the dress though, because it creates the appearance of an hourglass figure.

Avoid careers in fashion, nursing, or human resources.

Don't drink appletinis.

Fashion is obvious. I had a friend that wanted to be a male nurse. I used to bust his balls by telling him he would have jerk guys off to get them hard before he put their catheter in [Image: lol.gif] The human resources thing is true too. Any men I've met in HR have always been either straight up gay or very effeminate straight guys.
