Need city in Mexico

I will stay for 3 month in a city in mexico together with a working mate and i need your recommendation.

Focus will be 50% work and the other 50% girls, restaurants, night life,...

I´m always searching for the place where i want to stay longterm but probably i won´t find it that easy - so this is just about staying 3 month.

So what we need:

-good internet connection
-good weather in May/June/July
-nice apartments, no big hassle, booking through Internet, ~3k$ an apartment for two
-good food, practicabel style of living, no hassle
-i hate if i need a cab for going to gym, to restaurants, to everything... So more a city where everything is close together (for example Lima, Buenos Aires are good examples)
-can be a tourist city

Which city do You would recommend me? Please give me up to 3 options, i just want to filter out so that i can research on forums or other places about the cities.

I would say Oaxaca they have a great town center and awesome food. Also, it isn't as touristy as other cities.

1. Vallarta
2. Mexico City (Southern neighborhoods such as Napolés, Guadalupe Inn, San Ángel, Florida, Coyoacán, Polanco) Don't you try Santa Fe -it's more expensive than Houston.
3. Cancún

Mexico City has everything but it is too crowded.

Polanco, Lomas and Santa Fe are really expensive and dont have metro or metrobus.

Napoles, Condesa, Roma, Escandón are good, safe and close to nightlife colonias.

Mexico City has everything you are looking for. Most major mexican cities have that too, but you would have to do more homework and you wouldnt have as many nightlife options.

Plus, theres a HUGE expat community in Mexico City, everywhere else you would stand out.

Your living arrangement will be your biggest expense in Mexico City, as everything else is on the cheap, event compared to other cities. (public transportation, food, utilities, etc...) but with a 3k (dollars) monthly budget you will roll with style unless you rent a hip pad in hipstertown.

Other towns to consider: Guadalajara, Monterrey, Aguascalientes and Queretaro. For a beach, look up Vallarta or Playa del Carmen, but I wouldnt be able to advice on those.

If you choose Monterrey ring me down and Ill set you up.

Mexico City is waaaaaaay too spread out.

I would say Guadalajara is easily your best bet.

I found Guadalajara very spread out as well, with a very basic transit system. It is a pretty cool place though, and easily the hottest girl I seen in Mexico was in Guadalajara.

Having said that, I liked DF better. As Bars mentioned all the action you need can be found close to where you are staying.

For $700 a month my girl had a sick pad in Parque Espana/ Mexico hood. That place is so chill, has amazing restaurants and cafes and is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods architecturally in the world.

My #1 is the above neighborhood.
2. Guanajauto
3. Either Puerto Vaillarta or Acapulco.

Too cheap, could be fake. I have found a lot of fake ads in Condesa(like the above) and Polanco.

Prices are more like this:

Keep in mind that was for a room in the penthouse.

Sub lets and renting a room are the easiest ways to line up a place.

Know that you are heading to the wild west in Mexico. There is literally no rule of law. I've lived in Mexico for 6 months, my family has lived there, and if you want my opinion it's not worth going these days. I have had family who were up to nothing illegal, no drugs, etc. and had two vans of federalis pull up to their apartment, kidnap them, beat them, drug them, and put a gun in their mouth. This was in a resort town in the last couple of years. A lot of money was lost, which is just money. Thank God my family made it back alive.

But if you are intent on going, Guadalajara is probably your best bet, as the best looking women in the country are from Jalisco. Otherwise, don't go to Mexico.

It's possible to get something great for 1,500 USD.

wow, thank You guys for this great advice - great forum, great community here!

I lived in BA for 3 month, women are really hot there but unfortunately not the women in my bed. So in Lima women aren´t hot but the women i was together with. So i don´t give to much about average beautiness of women in a city.

One more question:
Where is the biggest "PU-community"?
It´s always cool to have directly cool guys for guying out.

I don't know a whole lot about Mexico, but I do know the badest women that would come to stay at the last place I worked at were from Monterry. That's saying a lot considering the high amount of Brazilians and Argentines that came in and out all the time.

I feel like Mexico is an underhyped untapped goldmine because of the ungoing drugwar there. I've heard that the hot girls are further and fewer between and that there are a lot of fat ones. But at the same time, all countries have their drawbacks; Colombia has flakey girls, Argentina has the histéricas etc. It's just a matter of move past these girls in each country and know where to find the good ones.

Often when I see a picture of Mexican girls, they tend to be cute

A buddy of mine grew up between Mexico and California as a kid. The amount of time he spend in each country was something like this: 1-6 in US, 6- 12 in Mexico, 12-16 US, 16-20 in MEX. His parents are both Mexican but he is very white and looks European. He said he cleaned house there in Highschool being that he looked like a gringo. He's not even really much of an attractive guy. He said he got hated on by a lot of the guys, but the girls loved him. The kid wouldn't come off as being good at gaming, but who knows, never seen him game since he's had a girl since I've met him. He was living in Aguas Calientes. I believe that's kinda a 3rd teir type city.

The same homie I wrote about from above also told me how fucked it was down there. He was bringing older cars over from the states to Mexico to sell them. They started making pretty good money and bought a nice truck, all sooped up, rims, paint job, body kit, the whole 9 yards. A $30k dollar car. He said the mafia came by and jacked the truck and called him up after saying my friend didn't owe the mafia anything anymore. You are "Paying them for your protection." Though the only ones they are protecting you from are themselves. He was even tellling me stories about how people would come around to collect money, saying they were from the mob when they really weren't. The store owners paid up, and when the mob came to collect the next time, they would complain about being charged twice in a month. The cartells would they find the frauds and murder them. Crazy place, probably not the place you want to be to do business.

I have never been to Monterey but it does have a reputation for wealth and business (with the USA) as well as hot girls. It might be a good place to make some contacts and put yourself for a few months. It is most likely the wealthiest city in Mexico (besides some DF and Guadaljara suburbs and cartel hoods in Acapulco).

Here is the clincher to the OP though.

He wants to be somewhere where he doesnt have to overcome shitty logistics all the time. To me that would eliminate Monterey and Guadalajara right away.

Someone mentioned Aguascalientes. Even better (and not too far) is Zacatecas. The weather is a little better in Aguas, but Zacatecas is a very cool town. Small, compact, colonial.

Maybe look into the colonial cities. They are all pretty decent. My favorite was probably Morelia, but logistics did suck a bit (I had a motorbike though). Queretaro, Oaxaca, San Louis Potosi are all decent places.

But DF going to give the guys the best bet for all things rolled into one. Stay in the colonia I mentioned (you lived in BA. The Parque Mexico hood is full of Argentines) and make some friends. Chilangos are some of the nicest people I have ever met. It was strange as I tend to think big city dwellers to be assholes.

Morelia is a nice town but I did not see even 1 semi approachable girl when I was there

Game is different down here depending on where you are. I have been living in Central Mx (the state of Guanajuato) for 10 months now and I love everything about it. Monterrey is a awesome city but is absolutely huge, and is almost like another city in the states. But really good looking girls and probably some of the easiest girls in Mexico for a gringo. These girls are more Americanized than any other set in the country...maybe outside of Tiajuana.

Sure, the more north you are, the more dangerous it is, but all the people talking about how you should not live down here or come here or even think about Mexico because there is a 250% chance your head will get blown off because the cartels, are stupid. Those are the same people who have never been here and only get theire news from random stories they hear.

Check out my town, its a University town, Guanajuato, Guanajuato

Good luck and PM if you have any questions.

Roosh once said this is not a forum for pussies, and I agree. But I assure you that I have had immediately family kidnapped and almost killed in Mexico. It is not safe, despite what you say, I also had to listen to that line until it happened.

If you are a gringo, you are a target because you represent money down there. It's that simple. Having had to go through that, which I wouldn't wish upon anyone, I felt like issuing a simple warning. Your choice.

If he is still intent on going, Jalisco, by far, has the best looking women. That's where a lot of the lighter skinned, taller, good mixed genes are to be found.

any insights on where the easiest women are?

if you're staying in the nice parts of DF then are you mainly running into fresas that don't put out?

where should a 30+ white boy that speaks spanish go to dip his stick?

Mexico intel is severely lacking here, it's close, great food, plenty of hot birds.

Any word on La Paz? Has been on my radar for years.

Guanajuato....10 months there.....DataSheet??????
