Brazil Sexuality/social Documentary

From the same company that did the one on Lebanon.
Pretty good film, well filmed ,but it's in French with Portuguese...some English speakers though.

Talks quite a bit on how gringos get the Brazilian mentality/ society wrong when it comes to sex...most don't realise how conservative they are.
I think he's right with regards social standing/connections etc...but behind closed doors I'm not sure.

Don't know I've put this in the right Thread category..a bit of sex/social and travel...apologies if not.

There's films on russia,Germany and Israel too

Brazil is much more conservative than most people think.
Despite the world-famous Carnival , tiny bikinis and pornography , The country as a whole is very religious , with large a catholic and evangelical population.

To give you an example , One of the most decisive issues (sadly) in the last presidential election was the candidates view on abortion and other social-conservative topics ; both front runners flip-floped on abortion to win the catholic and evangelical vote.

So in that point it is very similar to the US politically.

Chicks need to be on rotation like a Netflix queue

I think people get the wrong impression because they're so physically affectionate, wear skimpy clothes on the beach, dance a lot, and will kiss someone at the drop of the hat -- all things that are perceived to relate to sex in the West. But I'm living down here right now, and my experience is that pretty much every girl takes 1-2 dates to lay.

I'm not sure, but I think Roosh wrote about a similar experience... that Brazilian women were easy to kiss but took a while to lay.

I think another reason is that Americans are actually repressed sexually even though there are tons of sluts in America. There still is this puritan undercurrent to sex in America and people aren't open about it.
Americans want to believe that Brazil is this sexual nirvana, the polar opposite of America where everyone is open about sex.

Good documentary, I saw it a few weeks ago on tv here...it's not French, it's Quebecois.
Btw, that guy on the documentary, Tadeus Blanchette, an american/brazilian, is a living encyclopedia of anything to do with the sociological aspects of things in Brasil, specially related to the brazilian women-gringos relationship and the social study of prostitution in the brazilian society. That guy was a very big contributor in the brazzil.com forums, which were a few years ago, the absolute best forums on Brazil. It used to be my fav place to hang out between 2003-2007, then the forum got hacked by trolls...

Thanks for the posting the link. I will watch the documentary on sex in the russian society which looks very interesting.

If that's the case you're doing pretty well I' say!
I wouldn't ask for more...I prefer thinking the girl I'm banging isn't a complete ho,and can hold off for a couple of dates!

I wish I understood French, or even just the rural hick language of Quebec. I looked for a torrent for this doc with English subtitles but no good.

Does anyone have a link for the Russian documentary? Is it in English?

Wow. The quality of looks in Rio was pretty bad. I saw lots of dumpy, average, and thick looking women on the beach. Jerusalem didn't look that good either. Russia came away the definite winner. Skinny, attractive, feminine women in abundance in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

If Brazil is conservative, is there hope for anywhere to be considered "liberated"?

I'll have to sit down and watch it with my friend who is fluent in French and get him to translate it for me. I thought the women in Brazil looked horrible! After seeing the Russian video too. I'll be going back to the FSU before, I'd go to Brazil. Love those Russian women!

Entropy, how is "my experience is that pretty much every girl takes 1-2 dates to lay" that being conservative? Pretty much every girl takes at least a couple dates to get laid in US, especially if it's one of those hurried dates on a weekday when you know that you have work early next morning...[Image: dodgy.gif]
Now if you said that girls expect you to wine and dine them and then meet the family before they will view you as a "f&*K buddy" then I would say the culture is conservative.
