"Why is the user count going down?"

Accounts are automatically deleted at 6 months if a user hasn't made a single post. If you make just make one post, your account becomes permanent.

Roosh, it's not going down precipitously is it? I think it may be a result of everyone being back hardcore into school after the new year, the readership here from the guys who answer me and comment on my comments seem pretty young.

More likely there was a big signup spree at some point 6 months ago and a lot of the new signups never ended up posting? Or spambots?

Both I would imagine. I remember a point a few months back when spam was getting bad, not out of hand, but noticeable. Combine that with Roosh's popularity ever climbing I'm sure you got a bunch of lurkers that signed up for the hell of it but never posted anything.

Good riddance to the inactive accounts/users. Always better to have a few handfuls of very active posters, rather than tons who never stop by.

User count is going down, but those are users who did not contribute. Here are page view stats since inception:

Many days are hitting 40,000 page views now.

I think I know what happened, a shit ton of people signed up for the forum when you were doing the free Day Bang give away. Remember how many people were online trying to get a free copy, it was crazy, I remember a lot of new users as well. Fucking lame ass freeloaders, trying to save 20 dollar on a freaking game book.
