This is by no means a definitive guide, but I've number closed girls at work enough times to have an idea of what works and what doesn't. I would like to see what everyone adds to the equation. Experiences, methods, etcetera; I'm about innovating not hating.
Picking up girls at work: And I don't mean picking up girls YOU work with, I mean picking them up where THEY work. If you're observant even at all, you'd notice the service sector (fast food restaurants, grocery stores, the mall, etc.) is literally brimming with cuties staffing and selling their wares and working the cash counters, all over North America and Europe. Not only that, most of them in the crucial 16-30 age range!
You see these girls, and you often wonder (I know you do...) 'What is the quickest, and most efficient way to get this girl naked, legs spread, on my bed?'. Thankfully, these girls are just as liable to be impressed by your game as any other girl walking the street or hanging with your crew, but there are some rules to observe before we get started;
-Rules-
1) Girls, in fact anyone in the service industry, are being paid to be polite and helpful to you, the customer. A touch of cursory niceness doesn't automatically mean she wants to fuck you. 99% of the time she's just doing her job, and your job is to game her; be cool enough and make her comfortable enough to get to that 1%.
Waitress and bartenders (who work on tips) or saleschickys who work for commission are especially challenging. I'd say you're better meeting them when they're not at work.
2) Always be on watch for managers, supervisors and the like. This is huge; if their managers are men, they probably have a crush on her. If they're women, there's always some drama between them.
3) It should be obvious to you, but I'll say it anyways; picking up a girl where she works isn't like picking her up in a bar or on the street. In this situation you don't kiss close, you number close.
4) Unless you're rolling G, custom Savile Row or Milan in a Bentley, or your game is just mad mad tight, don't expect to close without building a bit of familiarity first. Two visits should be anticipated. The first to build a bit or rapport and get a name, the second to continue the rapport and get the number. Sometimes you get lucky and pull it off in one visit, but don’t always bet on it.
5) But that's not to say sit on your ass; any intrigue you carry will evaporate like rain if you've made too many appearances without making a move. The tipping point is probably something between 5 and 10 visits.
Those are the rules, now here are the instructions. Lots of it is an extension of street and bar game. The ones that aren't (but still kind of are) are marked.

1) Dress Nice, be Nicely Groomed: Not too crazy, jeans and a T do just fine, but you want to at least be clean. Adapt, because this just doesn't apply to this situation but to all game. There's no reason to get dressed in a $4700 suit to go to the mall, but it will give you a huge edge when you're picking up a Porsche.
2) Pick the Right Target: Suppose you enter a store and you see two cute girls working there. One smiles at you, the other looks at you then turns around. Do I even need to tell you which one to approach? I don't care if you enjoy a challenge or the cold one's more attractive, the smart money is on the one who smiled at you.
3) Know how to Play the Game: These girls are looking at you like another customer, so you're automatically engaging them or being engaged, if anything picking up girls where they work can be advantageous in this regard; someone has to initiate a conversation. Make sure you have a reason to be there, and know your body language, tonality, negs, jokes and qualifiers like you know your vital information, which you already should anyways.
On a related note, with good game this can be done in under ten minutes. Much longer than that and you're delaying or worse, hovering.
4) Notice something about her, amplify, neg: My last successful work pickup had a purple half-cast on her right arm and a Jesus and Mary Chain tank top, she worked in a guitar shop. Could you imagine anything easier?
(5 is pretty specific to picking girls up at work)
5) Always be on the Lookout: As stated in the rules, do not go in for the number close if her boss is lurking over her shoulder, because regardless of how she reacts to you, she's getting shit. The odds she'll go out with you diminish greatly if you get her fired, written up or exposed to some jealous tirade. Be constantly aware of your surroundings.
6) Tailor your future framing to the Scenario: If you're buying a TV, tell the mark that you usually have people over for movie nights on Sunday and pop popcorn and riff. If you're buying the latest Pearl Jam CD, tell her that you had a truly memorable time the last time they came to town and you see them every time they play in the area. If you're getting pool chemicals (chlorine), say you have people over for swimming and barbecues all the time. Once more, be adaptive to the situation, and be aware that each situation has different parameters. If you buy a TV you'll get maybe one or two more times to go back to the shop to chop the girl up because of maintenance concerns or whatever, unless you need to return to buy your sound system and shit; if you're getting a coffee, you have literally limitless opportunities.
(7 and 8 are pretty specific to picking girls up at work)
7) Give her Multiples: Not that kind of multiples, but if you can't do THAT then it'll take more than game to save you. As I stated earlier, unless your famous, rich or have game for days and days, you'll probably need to clock the girl on multiple visits. Multiples give you the chance to build on your good standing and create a bit of rapport, which we all know is a good thing. The best the average guy with decent game can hope for on a first visit is the exchange of names.
8) But don't get Desperate: Desperation is as counterproductive here as it is everywhere in pickup. If on the first visit you built a bit of rapport, got her name and made her smile a bit, don't be a retard and show up THE NEXT DAY to continue the sequence, unless she's at your coffee-shop or any other place you go daily (if this is the case, just don't engage her every time, skippy). Girls aren't totally stupid; do you really need pool chemicals, blue jeans, loafers, a new watch, a Fender Telecaster, Aviators, a Playstation 3 or dog food every day? They'll be on to you if you get desperate, they always are.
I wanted to get ten points done, but I feel that the eight I have are sufficient, and I'm sure there'll be some input. We can assemble a list of do's and dont's from them;
