You may have a point there, with day game bringing in better quality than night. I usually hit up various spots on the Lower East, Murray Hill, and a few in W. Village, Upper East and Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea.
Everyone's standards differ, and I defintiely adjust mine based on the crown out a particular night.
