I don't think he has a preference, as far as I know, but I think he gravitates to cheap-ish bars for financial reasons and the fact that he is usually going out late, after work, with work friends. I would say 'no' to hotel bars and clubs, although I'm just guessing. I think he's hit it all up at one time or another. He spends a lot of his free nights with the girlfriend, and so, these days, I think new girls tend to come through social and work networks in the city - beyond the occasional tourist bang from work.
