I prefer midrange hotels and restaurants, but don't mind eating from street vendors, or eating the breakfast at the hotel. Hostels suck and provides another hurdle in the race to get laid.
From experience I know that the more you spend the more access you gain to a higher class of women. Chasing grungy backpacker girls doesn't appeal to me.
