However, it is true that the fighter that is more aggressive will usually get the nod. I think "effective" aggressiveness should be rewarded, not just simply swinging and not landing. I think if Marquez had been a bit more aggressive in the last 2 rounds it would have either been a draw or a narrow win for him. If you look at most of Mayweather's fights, he never throws as much as his opponents, but he lands cleanly when he throws and he doesn't get hit, even though his opponent is throwing more.
