When I held a group during the election I had a Facebook and Eventbrite page and we held regular events. I suggest marketing on social media and Meetup. At the time I worked with the public so if anybody fit the profile to what I was looking for I would invite them to events I hosted or bigger events going on I knew about. Would be more than happy to talk more over PM.
