Trump Curse Strikes Again: Actress Felicity Huffman Arrested In College Bribery Case

Lori Loughlin and her husband are complete dipshits. You could sell them a gold-colored tap for the same price as a tap made from actual gold, such was their ham-fisted appreciation of the options with $500,000 at their disposal. Kudos to Huffman - she spent a comparative pittance, a paltry $15,000.

The fashion designer husband of Loughlin is worth close to $100m MINIMUM.

If they wanted the girls to get into USC so badly, they could have taken that $500,000 and paid an army of tutors to get them into college through the socioeconomically unfair but still legal way. No risk and only a sum of money comparable to the bribe spent.

Hire a state university professor for $50 p/h for each subject (or aspect of the SAT/ACT) during high school. These professors would’ve been desperate to please for that kind of rate and there’s no real difference between the quality of elite university professors and state ones, other than the latter usually being from less well-off backgrounds (privilege perpetuates itself in both admissions for college and where college professors work later on).

On top of that, the Italian husband/father could have offered the girls $100,000 each semester in college provided they kept their grades up and put in the necessary hours to practice for their SATs in high school. Basically make their inheritance contingent on proper effort and performance.

The girls were going to get an inheritance anyway, so better to milk the threat of them losing that inheritance as much as you can to get the airheads to start moving.

Had they thought this through even an iota, Loughlin and wannabe Fabio would have done the above, plus buttressed their kids’ chances of impressing the admissions office with “charity” work. Olivia and her sister could have swarmed social media with narcisstic photos of them mingling with inner-city black kids or doing hospital visits with cancer kids, even soliciting GoFundMe money for pages run by third-parties. A family as wealthy as theirs is not sacrificing anything by doing this, other than mere minutes of time, and they could have harnessed the power of sadly legal admissions corruption, instead of getting in trouble for the illegal kind by paying bribes.

In total, this plan would have taken them a couple of hours a week to manage and enforce.

Dumbasses.
