I had a similar dilemma..
I teach English in China. It gets more bad press than maybe anywhere (except Saudi lol).
I'm always worried when I read the latest negative news report on the BBC.
However, I was hugely reassured by reading there are something like 400,000 other English teachers in China.
I just keep my head down and bank the coin. I work like 7 months a year and save around the same amount as I did when I worked in a London cubicle.
