I was actually in much worse physical shape when I was abroad, i posted in another thread about backpacking/ living in the third world for a while. I ended up back in the US. I was actually coming off a really bad breakup and it really crushed my spirit-- only now am I recovering. I'm one of those people that has trouble getting out of their head, and just not being emotional and/or living life, rather, micro-analyzing everything. I have not visited any of the destinations you mentioned, though.
