Accra, Ghana (Data sheet) - Bootylicious West Africa

I spent around 6 weeks in Accra, capital of Ghana. Here's my first data sheet - which I thought would be a good addition since there's not much intel on africa in general.

Probably the most stable country in West Africa - and not very traveled at all. I met exactly 0 "tourists" in my whole stay there, everyone had work or family reasons to be there.
Accra is relatively modern and I would say exceptionally safe by African standards. People are very relaxed and crime is very low - just stay away from the dodgy areas and you will be fine.

The official language and lingua franca of Ghana is English, but you rarely see ghanians speaking english in to each other. Twi is the main local language in the Accra area, but dozens others are spoken in the country: Ewe, Fante, ga, etc. "Oboruni" means white person or foreigner in Twi so you will hear that word a lot.

Climate: hot and humid during the day, but comfortable at night. Make sure you don't go in the rainy season.

Getting in
I think this may be the biggest reason why there's no tourism to Ghana - a lot of people don't bother with visas when any western passport allows you to travel visa free to like 150+ countries and not dealing with this shit.

Unless you're African, you will need to go to an embassy and get a visa before going there.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_Ghana
The process wasn't too bad - 2 embassy visits and costs around $100.

Budget airline Portuguese TAP air flies there via Lisbon, so that's probably your best option in getting in at the moment.

Logistics

Most of the nightlife, bars and restaurants are located in the neighborhoods of Osu and Cantonments.
I stayed in 2 different airbnb's both in Osu, which I think is ideal. Oxford street in Osu is probably the most "happening street" in the city and most bars and restaurants are there or within blocks of it. If you look foreign you may get hassled (sellers and hustlers) a bit while walking around there but just say "no thank you" or ignore them and keep moving.

Most wealthy expats (embassy workers, diplomats and similar) live in Cantonments which is where all the nice houses are, but I found Osu to be more fun and you can get around walking which is great.

Uber and Taxify both work, stay away from normal taxis. They will more expensive anyway. One note though - drivers HATE IT when you pay for uber with your credit card, so make sure to pay them in cash or they will be annoyed and grumpy and also give you a shit rating. Ridiculous I know, but my uber rating went down fast in my time in Ghana. Anyhow - most rides you take in the city will be between $1 and $5 USD

Girls

NOW ON TO THE GOOD SHIT - women in Ghana as in west africa in general have incredible curves. Stacked. A lot of phat asses and big titties everywhere. A lot of pretty faces too, with juice lips.
The more traditional she is, the thicker she will be. Here's the thing: in West Africa, being thick is sort of a status symbol and beauty standard. (just look at the girls in african music videos). I love skinny chicks though, and there was enough of them to go around but just know that not everyone is slim in Ghana.

I found women here to be more conservative and less likely to bang a stranger than in East Africa, but nothing that can stop a dude with decent game. Being white of course helps - but I also met an Indian Canadian dude living there that was killing it with the chicks, so other races probably can do well too. My UK-Nigerian friend also does well there.

One thing I thought was odd about Ghanian chicks is the body hair- a lot of girls don't shave their legs. Sometimes you cant even tell, because the hair and skin are both so dark. Now, west africans are not very hairy people so its not as bad as when a feminazi white chick doesn't shave her legs, but its something you will see often. A few of my hookups there had a bit of hair on their legs which was a bit of a turn off. I told one of them to shave for the next time and she did though.

I would say here's a few types of girls in ghana:

THE MODERN CHICK - Modern young Ghanian chicks, speaks English well, uses instagram, dresses more sexy and "western style", she's studying or went to college. These ones are the hottest, and also the hardest.
I met one of these that was absolutely beautiful, a HB9. We went on 3 "dates", and she didn't want to kiss but I thought that's because kissing in public is taboo there. Got her to come over to my place to "watch a movie", and she was not having any of my physical advances. I couldn't bang her after all. She still texts me saying she misses me, but she didn't want to put out -- oh well haha.

OTHER AFRICAN CHICKS - girls from neighboring countries: a lot of women from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Gabon, etc go to Ghana to study English or go to college. Ghana has some of the best colleges in the region (and most of the countries in the region are actually French-speaking)
These girls will probably be your bread and butter , or at least it was for me. They are new in town, bored, don't have a ton of friends and have a lot of free time. Ivorians were my favorite, very sexy and feminine with that hot French accent.
Also watch out for a lot of these may be pros or semi pros - specially the nigerians. Many of them come to study but are broke as fuck and need to make extra cash by any means possible. And I hate to say this because I hate stereotypes, but generally speaking when you meet a Nigerian chick you should be cautious - proceed with caution and make sure you lock up all your belongings / lock the door from the inside and hide the key kind of thing when you bring her over. A few Ghanian players I met there all had crazy stories involving nigerian chicks. I had a pretty bad experience with one of them too, I will write about it later.

THE TRADITIONAL GHANIAN CHICK - sweet and innocent. dresses with the traditional African clothing and patterns - more old school, her english will be ok but not great. They are thicker or maybe even overweight from eating nothing but plantains, fufu and banku (cheap carbs). These girls go to church every sunday with no fail (which starts around 7am), so you won't find them out on a saturday night. You may find them out in very chill neighborhood road-side bars. Some of them can be sexy, but the cultural gap between you and her is going to make things a bit weird. Also they most of these are very poor. I didn't bother with these girls.

Game

I had a ton of sex, but mainly repeats. I think 12 girls total in the 6 weeks. A determined player can easily bang 4-5 girls a week, but I was also working while there and didn't go out at night very often. By the end, I kept the hottest/best 4 girls and I was rotating through them instead of trying to meet new chicks.

I did little night game because I didn't enjoy the nightlife that much. Also I spent about 2 weeks total away from the city into the country side on the far west and east of the country, and there it was rare to see any women I wanted to bone.

On Tinder you will get a ton of matches, and its easy to get them to meet up.
My usual routine was like this - I moved the hottest ones to whatsapp quickly, exchanged a few messages and try to set up a time and place - usually at one of the bars by Oxford Street. Have a few drinks, and mention that your place is like a few minutes away and say something like "lets go have the last drink at my place" or "lets watch a movie" or whatever. This worked like 90% of the time, otherwise keep drinking and try again later.

Some good places to take a girl for drinks are Republic Bar, Kona Grill, Smoke n Barrel, or if during the day go to Second Cup cafe. Keep in mind though that on the weekends all these places will be insanely loud and will be hard to have a conversation almost anywhere. Holy hell, Ghanians love loud fucking music - it actually drove me a bit insane.

Night game:
The main issue with night game in Accra is that there's a shit ton of hookers everywhere. in some places like Firefly for every 4 girls, 3 of them will be pros or semi pros. I don't do shoring, but if that's your thing I think you could do well. I rather jerk off than bang an african prostitute even if its for free though.

I saw the best talent at high end bars and clubs like Carbon and Sky Bar. Best to come with a good wing here, and maybe get bottle service. These places are not cheap and expect to pay US prices for drinks - with sports cars parked outside from all the "been tos" (guys that live abroad in the UK or US and come back home to visit and impress girls / spend cash). Competition will be tougher here but this is where the hottest girls are.

However I had the most fun at shitty random bars around Osu, as far as I now the places don't even have a name but on Fri/Sat night you can find them with young people drinking beer on plastic chairs and stuff.
MUST DO: Make sure you go to "Rmyx" in osu and try Amen: an alcoholic cannabis-infused home made drink. I had 2 of these and had the best buzz going. Read more: https://munchies.vice.com/en_us/article/...e-of-ghana
There and around there you will find groups of 20-somethings – in general Ghanians are super friendly and not used to seeing "obornus" so just go and open them with a simple opener like "hey guys what bar do you think would be good tonight" and you will probably end up sitting them chatting for a few hours. This worked for me a few times.

Having a local wingman is very clutch, and I had the luck of meeting a few local players through my workspace. Rolling solo is not such a great option since most bars are set up with tables and groups sitting instead of a bar area.

Favorite spots:
Republic Bar - a Osu classic, frequented by expats but also locals. Always a handful of hookers but you can usually spot them quickly. Chill during the week and lit on the weekends.
Vanity Club - great club, this is where I had the most fun.
Serallio - fun outdoor club, gets going on the weekends. I think it its a restaurant during the day.
Purple Pub - very local, outdoor spot, cheap drinks and cheap food, great for pregaming. People sit at tables though so its a bit tough to game chicks there.
Plot 7 - only place with electronic music in all of Accra, not bad. Goes til late night, mostly expat crowd.

Places I didn't like:
Firefly - kind of a cocktail bar, and could be a great spot but its overrun with hookers. I talked to 5 different girls there and all of them were hookers, left right after.
Honeysuckle - basically a sports bar, decent food but its where old expats hang out, also infested by hookers.

Online game
As I said above, Tinder will yield a lot of matches. 75% of them will be hookers, so if you have any doubt try to dig for info - i would usually say "what do you do for work? I hope you're not a hookup girl like everyone else on here lol Confusedmiley:" to find out without coming off as a dick. (Note: "hookup girl" is how prostitutes are called in ghana - their profile will usually say something like "hookups only" - but they wont be free )

The quality of girls on Tinder is not the highest, and often the girl seemed so boring over text that I didn't even bother meeting up with them. My fav girl of the trip was from Tinder though, so its still a great tool for meeting girls. I ended up seeing her almost exclusively for the last few weeks since I was tired of going on shit dates with boring girls, even if it did end up in some OK sex most of the time. Also the hottest girl I met there was an Ivorian from tinder, but she was a good girl and said she was saving it for marriage.

Day game / Expats / Other
Your potential for day game are of course everything you do during the day, e.g. the cute waiter at the restaurant or whatever. Girls are very shy in Ghana (specially compared to kenya or uganda), but just chat them up a bit and get their number. This wont always materialize but I never got any hard rejections.

Be on the lookout for any festivals or events. Look on Facebook and the expat groups for events happening in town. There's a lot of embassies that organize concerts or other events (I know, what the fuck?), those are good places to meet people. Every white chick I met there was only in ghana for 3-6 months on some sort of NGO internship or college thing. In general I found the white girls in Ghana to be very underwhelming though, and the few cute ones I met all had boyfriends back home.

Also make sure to hit up the swimming pools at the Movenpick and Kempinski hotels on the weekend. Day passes are around $15 and its a great way to relax and escape the insane heat - plus you will find a lot of fly upper class local girls hanging out there. Also the Kempinski gets all the hot flight attendants from most of the airlines, which is a gold mine if you can find them.

Conclusion

To quote from fellow RVF dude Akwesi's data sheet:
If you spend some time there you will have fascinating experiences, but they will generally occur at random rather than being planned.

I agree completely, all the best experiences were totally random - like a crazy night out with the friends of dude I met at the airport, or when I went to the eastern side of Ghana to visit the village of a local friend I had made - and turns out there was a huge african music concert happening.

If you are curious about West Africa, this is a solid spot. Girls have gravity-defiying curves and are eager to please. Food is spicy and cheap. If you are white/foreigner half of your job is just showing up. I am in Uganda now and I think Ugandan women here are way more fun interesting and sexual - but Ghana has more of that laid back tropical beach city vibe.
At any rate, Ghana is a solid spot for the adventurous traveler or big booty lover.

Will I go back there? Not sure, maybe.. Ok yes, fine - specially now that I got a network of people and booty lined up [Image: wink.gif]
Am I glad I went? 100%, one of my most epic adventures for sure. There's something very rewarding about going to these places that no one else goes to.

Alright that ended up being a lot longer than I thought. Peace out homies
