This is basically akin to the male grooming behavior in the mouse utopia experiment. It's logical, it does give a slight boost to a man's SMV if he projects wealth but in 2018 money is cheap and awe that comes from looking at a shiny car is fleeting.

On 4chan /biz I hear this meme quite often, "it's easier to become a millionaire than get a gf." I always thought it was stupid hyperbole until I looked around and realise that a lot of guys my age (35+) are literal millionaires trying to leverage their money to get pussy but are coming to the realisation they can't get a LTR, not even sex unless it's a post-wall single mother.
