Helsinki is a great place to visit in the days leading up to Vappu (May 1). Lots of parties and drinking in the streets. I think the Scandinavian countries have similar celebrations.

My friend insist on Sweden, so I prefre a closer second destination, that's why I wrote- Norway and Denmark, and not include Iceland and Finland.
