Exactly. And, unless you are making a study of it, a passing glance at a couple tells you next to nothing about their relationship. I personally know three "heterosexual" couples, wherein the man is actually a closeted gay guy. And, what's the other common factor of the relationships? The women are very attractive and, functionally, asexual. They do not want to have sex - not with their husbands, not with anyone. So, the men take care of their needs on their own (very quiet) terms, and the women get the public face of a happy marriage.

Don't get me wrong - these couples like each other. They are each other's best friends. But it is a companionate marriage at best.

An outside observer, however, would see the following - hot girl with skinny geek. She doesn't cheat and doesn't even look around. She must be extremely "satisfied" and with the way she looks, there is no way that guy isn't giving it to her five times a day? Right? Right?
