I also believe sex workers are consummate liars. When you get brought into their inner-circle what they're doing is putting you into this fuzzy zone where you're both a friend AND a client. In order to keep the engagement/money flowing the best way is to share intimate details but embellish them in ways that maximizes the urge to simp. All women looking for providers spin their narrative to some extent, but this is the ultimate form of the beast. So beyond the lack of respect, you'll always have trust issues. If she says she's broke and can't go dutch or she's one step away from getting evicted or some other crisis that requires you to help you'll always suspect it's a scam. Even when it isn't a scam, that suspicion will be there which really gets in the way of forming a true connection, or you feel like the only reason you're around is to be an ATM. And they are human beings and on some level I'm sure they want a connection but once they fall into that box then it becomes a prison. It's dysfunctional and codependent and the women and the men represent sort of two sides of the same pathetic coin. The only way to fix that is to GTFO of the profession and anything and anyone associated with it.
