I read the OP and skimmed the rest of the thread. As a man who moved and works abroad and has a family with a Vietnamese woman, I can confidently say that social circle game is your best friend if you want to meet a woman of value. Make all the connections you can everywhere because circumstances and opportunities leap at you.
You couldn't drag me to the Philippines with a rope and horse. I've heard too many horror stories about Filipinas burning foreigners. We had had an American teacher whose wife back-stabbed him and took their kid. He planned on going back to the Philippines from Vietnam to take his kid back to America. Good luck with that. He didn't last there or here long, and he left a desperate fool.
