—More earning power. Even a lawyer in Ph makes like $50k/year.
—Way less bullshit. If you want a comfortable life here you have to pay up the ass with guys trying to scam you all the way. This applies to OFWs and rich locals just as much as it does to foreigners.
—Safer government
—Faster Internet
—Non infuriating phone infrastructure such as in Ph you cannot call a landline with a cell phone
—Actually able to get phone service consistently
—Better food
—Better healthcare
—Better education for kids
—Better traffic
—Cheaper housing (outside of NYC or something) with far superior construction
—Easier access to online shopping
—Faster shipping
—Shipping that will deliver to your door instead of at some post office 10 miles away through hellish traffic
—Service workers who actually work
—Stores that offer 10x the variety of goods
—Cheaper quality food (western quality, in the store near my house in Ph they sell green peppers individually wrapped and imported from US for nearly $5 each, do Filipinos pay this)
—Not having to pay insane tariffs on anything nice from laptops to cars. Brand new Porsche Cayman in the US is what, 55k. Here looking at up to $200,000 and you can’t even be sure if it’s actually new or secretly refurbished
