Second this. Going up to a girl and after a couple of minutes, telling her that you're rich, she will assume it's total bs.
However I did used to know a guy who played 'money game' and told girls he owned a major chain of fashion stores. The trick, I think, was that he deflected their questions about what he did for a living etc. a few times, until they'd hung out or gone on a date. Then and only then would he tell them the 'truth'.
So deception works but you need to know what you're doing.
