Some folks like fine scotch and will learn about it, then be selective and go and find the real smooth rich taste and enjoy it.

Some folks like fine wine and will learn about how it's made and why the years with lots of rain help a certain type of grape and how Barolo, Amarone, Malbec, Shiraz of a specific year are better and will not settle for anything but that fine bottle.
Some others will buy the 10$ bottle at the supermarket.
