It's easy to get misled by certain reports on HIV prevalence in countries like Vietnam. It's actually not that high, although certain individuals and organizations call it an epidemic. The adult prevalence of HIV in Vietnam is about 0.40 percent, lower than countries as Ukraine, Latvia and Moldova. Thailand has a higher rate of 1.10 percent.
