This is a feature of European style democracy, which insures no real change can ever come from elections.
That might be partly true.
According to the news many of the other parties apart from SD has moved to a more restrictive immigration policy to not lose to many voters to SD. So even if SD does not get as many votes as they hoped to, they have shifted the politics of other parties.
