The concerns about difficult adjusting to life for half-Asian kids apply almost exclusively to sons, from what I can tell. Definitely in western countries the majority will view half-Asian males as "Asian." Perhaps that's challenging when your father is non-Asian and can't fully relate to your life.
I recall stumbling across a Reddit sub support group / bitch fest of half-asian guys. OTOH, a disproportionate number of the hottest female asian celebrities are mixed, or so it seems.
