i do think that pushing the collective knowledge underground would help us preserve it. making these regions more valuable for our own enjoyment into the future, however the point of no return has been crossed.
These threads come off as really trollish. Even if they're not, globalization will continue, so by that logic you should just stay at home.
There are plenty of places not getting visited by tourists; remote islands, central asia, moldova, large swathes of Russia, second/third tier ukraine, war zones, portions of Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, second tier cities in many countries, etc.
