The U.S. also has a 50% divorce rate. I'd take what most guys that grew up in a culture with a 50% divorce rate say about how to treat a girlfriend/wife interacting with other men with a grain of salt.
On this matter, I'd listen to advice from guys who grew up in cultures with low divorce rates and around women with low notch counts.
