This situation can vary slightly depending on which of the two women you talk to first but ultimately, the uglier of the two women will start to cockblock at some point in the set when you are starting to vibe with the attractive woman. How do you handle this situation?
Here, are a couple examples of recent encounters where I have experienced this and am curious how folks here would handle these situations?:
1. I talk to the uglier woman of the two first and after a few minutes switch over to the prettier woman. We start to vibe but once the uglier woman realizes she is not the target, she throws a fit and manufactures some excuse that they need to go somewhere else. However, she is polite and relatively ladylike with her language.
2. This set is technically 2 women and a beta guy. I talk to the uglier woman of the two women first and after a few minutes switch over to the prettier woman. We are talking for a few minutes too before the uglier woman interrupts rudely and says that I am drunk, bragging and a bunch of other wild, false statements but finishing with the other woman is not interested in you. I make the rookie mistake of talking logically with her despite her whole response being emotional and over the top. The beta guy who is apparently trying to get with the uglier woman steps in to support her lie. Obviously, in this case the uglier woman is rude and obnoxious.
I am thinking to deal with these type of situations as follows:
1. For this one, I should try to approach the more attractive woman first but when this is not possible, simply go for the phone close by telling the uglier woman that you would like a couple more minutes to talk with her friend as you like her.
Another alternative could be asking the prettier woman of the two to a dance first (if the venue allows it) and then use that as an opportunity to number close the prettier woman away from the direct line of sight of her friend.
2. I'm still unsure on this one but I am thinking the best course of action is to ignore the uglier woman's complaint and/or laugh it off and keep talking to the pretty woman. If the uglier woman continues interrupting the conversation, you can go on about how the prettier woman can think for herself and it is rude to try to do her thinking for her. Still not sure how best to go about getting her number without having the Mexican standoff.
