FYI I do about an hour of research every morning when I get into work. I think I mentioned it before but I focus on unders and underdogs.
I look at recent results, height of the starters, minutes that starters play (to determine bench depth), % of scoring from 3s, results against similar competition, and watch video on youtube to check their pace on offense and defensive schemes (zone vs man, full court pressure and trapping, etc.). Of course whether the teams are playing home/away/neutral, and what team of the two is more likely to institute their game plan and make the other team play their pace.
