As someone who lives in the metro ATL area I can say that I saw a ton of support for Ossoff on social media, but people I know in real life, and obviously the quiet majority, weren't having it. I'm thrilled that they wasted all that money for nothing. Dems are probably spinning the heads trying to come up with a better strategy.
The fact is that Ossoff was the best chance they had for winning an election of this type: the guy presented himself as a moderate and seems like a normal enough fellow who might appeal to white middle class voters, but they blew it. Hopefully this means they'll run the other way and push transsexual queer latino-Islamic candidates who will be far less appealing.
