I was glad I brought a girl with me. There were packs of roving shirtless men. Some sloppy types. Some muscled types. Everything seemed laid back though. I think the party rave scene has largely moved elsewhere since crackdowns in 2012.
One fun option would be to bang the Koreans. You see them in groups in Luang Prabang. But the nightlife there is different so way harder to pull. I'd imagine in VV its way easier.
