I almost got goosebumps reading this because I've had this very same thing happen to me. It's a very strange experience to try and put into words but you've done a great job at trying to explain it. Yes, exactly that. I've never had any experiences with ghosts or spirits (yet) but I have a relative who maintains that they once saw and spoke to one. They are a very trustworthy person in a white collar profession.
