Something I stumbled on recently and have been doing for a few weeks now, is to just go running/jogging around the city. Whenever you see a hot girl, just run past her 20 ft or so, stop, take your headphones off, and then walk slowly (since you're tired from just having run, she doesn't know if your ran 3miles or 20 ft lol), once she catches up to you, just turn and say your opener.
This does 3 things, it makes the approach seem more "spontaneous", which girls like the idea of meeting their dream guy in "meant to be" scenarios. Second, it allows you to cover WAY more ground than if you're just walking, plus you can catch up to girls that you see up ahead without seeming like you ran up JUST to talk to her. And third, it make is "ok" to be sweaty. She won't care since she knows you're sweaty from running and keeping in good shape.. this also make it even more "spontaneous".
And as a bonus... it makes you run!! which is great this time of the year.
