Mass starvation and famine in Africa

The thing is that when someone reaches some "elite" situation (local chief, minister, president, parliament etc) , most of the time his primary concern won't be to return their trust to the people, but to just put as much as possible money in his/her pocket because of the dire situation there.
People will also flock to his/her house to ask for money. Even if you are just an average joe people will still come and ask anyway. We in Senegal lack the ability westerners and asians have to fend for themselves and reinvest their gains to keep their situation in a state of virtuous cycle.
Here, if you are succesful, you only have two options when you get money: give it for free to people, or have them hate you and sometimes conspire (or even go to the sorcerer! It baffles me that this shit still exists in 2017) to have your fortune disappear.
This is many africans who reach some level of success just remain in the western world, where they will thrive on the european values and won't get sucked dry by all the home pressure to give, give without asking for anything other than "God's happiness"

The african continent will start developping itself (and graduates and workers like me will return gladly) when we first accept that we are fucked (the average Senegalese is very proud and will always hate his neighbour for not being Murid or Tidjan -Sufi currents- before not sucking on the imported European depreciated goods), that we stop focusing and promoting on useless and non productive activities like wrestling or soccer, we stop ruining ourselves (and asking our family members to ruin themselves ) over celebrations like birthdays or "sabar" (google that, you booty lovers), and stop other shit like naming fucking 60!!!! Ministers in the government.
