I have one comment on his conviction. I don't care if he didn't lose the people's money. That is not a defense.
If I give you $100 and you give me back $101 five years later, it's true that you made me money. I might have put that money somewhere else and made more with it. If you commit fraud with investors, you need to be held accountable whether the results are "good" or not.
