Could it be that this meta-analysis is of articles which use biased choices of definitions for words like social functioning? While I have not looked in detail at the 70+ articles he analyzes, one could easily imagine "having an average relationship length of <1 week" could be marked as negative social functioning.

Something is fishy here. Where are all the playboys with negative social functioning?
