< true as well. Especially the part about Berlin, Paris and London. Of the cities given by MrAstro, I didn't find the German cities too appealing. Frankfurt has things going on obviously and I know a local girl who likes her own city a lot, and I've done a couple of nights in Frankfurt but it isn't Berlin or Hamburg maybe. Of course if you get into the right groups of people Frankfurt can be good as well.
Maybe it's something particular about me but I tend to do quite well in France. In all honesty I think I do better in both France and Germany than in my home country the Netherlands.
Furthermore, I have French people always found to be helpful (if you address them in French), contrary to popular opinion.
The cheap food is better quality and tastier in Germany for sure.
