First stop looking at overall "weight" . The more important number is body fat percentage.

Next, why did you arbitrarily pick 6 months? Weight loss and personal fitness are life long endeavors. If you hit the gym and diet for six months and lose the weight just to go back to your old habits you'll become the lard ass you are today again.

It took me 3 years of lifting to get noticeably bigger and more filled out. Take into account that i was blindly following the "eat as many calories as possible" and any old fitness routine.

First, what is your diet? How many meals do you eat a day, what is in those meals,etc ? Is taco bell and Wendy's really all you eat? If so, immediately stop going there.

This alone is why you're grossly obese. Improving your diet will help you lose a tremendous amount of weight without any working out at all. You should be eating whole ingredients. The only places you are allowed to visit inthe grocery store are the meat counter, produce aisle, bakery, and oils/sugars/condiments. You are forbidden from eating anything processed.

Next, are we safe to assume you don't have any gym experience at all? Do you know proper form on any of the major lifts?
